Being a tea lover myself, I knew I was having a bridal tea party shower from a young age! So when the time for my own bridal shower finally came, I knew right away I wanted a garden tea party with fun tea themed details. With that in mind, I decided a cute teabag was the perfect thank-you favor for my guests, and created these easy and unique favors which are also filled with real tea!
I used mine as thank-you favors for my guests along with some tea biscuits, but they'd also be great as place card holders, invitations to the event, or extra decor. So if you have a tea party themed event coming up that you think these little gems would be perfect for, follow this easy DIY tutorial and you'll be impressed with yourself in no time.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Scissors + Pen
Double sided tape, or glue adhesive
Loose Tea of your preference
Optional String + Metallic Pens
1 - Make sure you have the required supplies and a clean work surface
2- Using the template provided here, trace the template on the vellum paper
3- Trace as many templates as you can on one sheet to minimize waste
4/5- Cut out the vellum traced templates
6- Fold one side panel in, making sure to keep the edge straight
7- Fold the second side panel in, which will overlap the first panel slightly
8- Carefully fold the top corners down at a 90degree angle to form a triangle tip
9- Fold the top pointed tip down to meet the edge of the paper folds
10- Using double sided tape ( I find it works best) or quick drying craft glue, seal the folds already made , being sure to leave the bottom edge of the bag open
11- Decorate your teabag as desired. It's easier to write and decorate at this stage while there's no tea inside and it's a flat surface
12- Fill the teabags with 1.5 teaspoons of your desired tea
13- Seal the bottom of the bag by folding the small flap and applying adhesive
14- Add any additional decorations or teabag hanging string at the top
VOILA! We think these are adorable, and using the template you can enlarge it or shrink it to whatever size you'd like for your event.
